VENDORS COMMENTS
“50 Stroud Road has been our wonderful family home for the last twelve years. Six years ago, we embarked on a major transformation of the property, which saw a two-storey extension added to the rear and a complete renovation of the original house, which was stripped back to bare brick. The entire roof was replaced, along with new plumbing and electrical wiring throughout. We also took this opportunity to install a wet underfloor heating system throughout downstairs (excluding the hallway), installed CAT6 cabling to every room and in-ceiling speakers throughout the property. All fitted wardrobes were supplied by John Lewis and we fitted custom-made John Lewis or Thomas Sanderson integrated blinds to all windows which will be included in the sale. The aluminium bi-fold doors to the rear of the property also feature integrated blinds, installed inside the glazing to retain the clean lines of the doors. It’s great to have the kids play in the garden with the bi-fold doors fully open, so that you can easily interact with them from the large kitchen.
We completely overhauled the garden four years ago and created two separate zones, with space for the kids to play and adults to relax. The in-ground 10ft trampoline has provided hours of fun for kids and adults alike. We enjoy relaxing on the split-level grey composite deck, which contrasts well with the low-maintenance planted borders. There have been planted with lavender which looks very colourful yet requires little maintenance. The garden is very secure, having an 8-ft double skinned post and rail fence to the rear, with, matching 6-ft fences on either side. This is a great area for entertaining, and we’ve hosted many family BBQ’s over the years.
In our opinion, 50 Stroud Road is an exceptional family home, offering fantastic space and every modern amenity. It is a unique property within the area, which will bring many years of enjoyment to the new owner(s).”
